To add I am running 3' true duals and love the popping noise when slowing down. I would loose the cats and IMO you might like it more???

Cats are definitely going to stay on. I just don't want to run into any potential problems with inspection and cops and such.

I can understand BUT I prefer not having the cats. It makes a huge difference with the sound.

You guys may wanna try the borla mufflers.... I ran them on my vortech 383.... because cops out here are asses.... it was really deep but powerful... had a really good rumble

So you say the Aerochamer is deeper? I wish I could get the Borla, but they don't make a dual in single out XR-1 race muffler. I called them to find out. Banks is suppose to be in the works for Chevy, but it won't be for about a year. I called them too.

yes, aerochamber is definatly deeper w/o cats. nice rumble at idle, quiet at hwy speeds if exaust is ran all the way to the back, and screams at WOT.

now with cats, it's quiet but with a nice mellow tone.

here's my old set up:

full exaust with pacesetter lt's, ory, hooker aerochamber, stock catback and tail pipe
