There are a lot of options out there when it comes to mufflers and the one that you choose will really boil down to personal sound preference. If you like the Flowmaster sound, give us a call at 707-544-4761 and one of our product specialists can help you find the muffler or exhaust system that's right for you.

If you have stock manifolds cats and ypipe just cut your muffler off. Nice rumble at idle don't sound too bad at wot.

I think you're going to have to hear your choices to make a decision because it's such a personal preference. Some of the websites have videos inside and out what their mufflers sound like. Some of the websites also have a sound level comparison between their different model mufflers - also helpful. The types of feedback useful from the forum are going to be what's available, how they fit, how they're holding up, and what effects other modifications have on them.
In my experience chambered and multi-chambered mufflers have the deepest note, and straight-through perforated tube types have the highest flow rates but tend to sound like a tractor. The tubes and sound dampening materials do well to reduce raspy noise. I am most impressed with types that combine both perforated tubes/material and chambers together. That can also be done with sequential mufflers of different types in which case I'd put the chambered unit as close to tailpipe exit (or turndowns) for the deepest rumble.
