Default MSD's and headers...

i got my long tubes for the engine i am building and i also got a set of MSD's. i put the headers on the engine to get the boxes out of the garage and was checking the clearance of the wires and headers and well...the wires are hitting the headers. any one else have/had this problem?

Mine do it... I just turned the top wire/end that plugs into the coil upwards so it pulls the wire a little higher and all is well.

bend the boot away from the header a little, and then rotate the coil side so it pulls it up

Ya those MSD wire ends are made so they can be bent, I have the same ones and had to bend mine to keep them from touching. I know you can bend them at least 45 degrees.

Yeah, to echo the bending part, on our '66 Chevy, we installed the straight boot wires. You can def bend them to not hit the primaries.
