Default MSD Coil Packs

I have a chance to buy the set for $460 shipped.

Is there any evidence that they improve performance?

Thanks, Jim

I dunno...I would say under extreme conditions you might see some gains...but I think Parish is even running the stock packs...I would say if you have a pack or two going out go ahead and get them...if all your coil packs are still working...you money is better spent elsewhere

Bet they won't give you as much of a gain as a nitrous kit for that price.

Jim there was an article in one of the performance mags where they built something like a 1600hp LS1 using stock coil packs. These coil packs are very strong and think about it, each cylinder has its own individual coil. I wouldnt waste my money on them.

yea... there were tests done, wish i could find the video/web site... but the stock packs are so efficent now that there is little or no gains for the money spent on those aftermarket coils.. if you want red packs.. paint them red, lol. (i know thts probably not the reason, just giving the only advantage of having them, lol)
