Default MSD 8.5mm wires

Anyone have the msd 8.5mm wires on their truck? What gains if any have you noticed, whats the diff. over stock? Where can I get them and for how much, I've looked everywhere but can't find them for my truck.

BTW guys, I talked to my dad and explained that there are a lot of guys that can help me install the cam and he will let me install a cam this summer. so for now I'm going to get my truck ready for the cam. I'm going to get 2" rear lowering shackles, traction bars, 6.0L engine cover/ Escalade cover, and MSD 8.5mm wires. Then since my 19th B-day is in a 3 months I will get my 3.73's installed.

don't get the traction bars unless you get some caltracs....the lakewood universal style wont work for you. i would also save the money from the wires and other stuff and get a set of headers to go with that cam.

I've already got the Edlebrock shorties.
Yeah I might just get the shackles and pulleys.

I just put on MSD wires and put some new stock plugs in.
If anything the idle feels smoother, that's about it.

yeah, you're not going to see any gians from plug wires, it's just plug wires, if there was a ton of difference between one and another the stock ones would be different. chinny, why didn't you put in some TR55 plugs or something?

I got the stocker ACDelco's cheap, I just wanted to change em out and get it over with.
What advantage do the TR55s have over stock? I haven't really read up about plugs.

not a ton really, they are just what most people swap to. plus if you ever plan to spray they will be a little better than the stockers. how did you like that #8 plug? fun isn't it? my #3 plug is starting to get stripped cuz my friend fucked it up last time i changed plugs so i have to be really careful when changing them. IDIOT, i think i'll kick his *** tomorrow.

If by #8 plug you mean the one on the passenger side in the back...then I didn't like it at all. Way back there, but not that bad. That ****** oil dip stick had some sharp edges on it that fucked my hands up.

I thought the same thing, but the set of MSD's I put on my '02 5.3 REALLY improved throttle responce and low-end power.

New wires on the SS hurt performanace.
