Default moving more power down low? questions on my setup

Ok fellas I just been thinking about changing some stuff up since my truck has went completly the other direction now. Right now I'm running a tr220 112lsa and my converter started life as a TT3000 but has was worked on a bit now its pretty loose and is prolly around a 3200 or so. I'm running 4.56 gears and 33" super swampers (really heavy). Right now when I hammer into it my converter flashes like 4 grand and it will run ok but it seems like all my power is up top.

Now what my question is if I swap my cam to say a 212/218 112 or somthing similar and swap to alittle tigher converter do yall think it would help get my power into a more usable range? Like right now I have to hammer it to go anywhere. I was thinking of maybe goin with somthing in the 2800 range for a converter? My converter was fine when I was slammed on tiny tires but now that it has all the weight on it it seems really loose.

I know that's a lot but thanx for any help fellas I'm just trying to get a better setup for a lifted truck since she's staying up now

Maybe even if I just swapped out the converter for somthing tigher it would be better I just hate driving it with the big tires and the loose stall cuz it doesn't feel like it wants to go without laying into it pretty hard...

The cam you have is def a mid to top end cam.. A lower duration cam will make a diff down low, but will not have the pull up top like that 220.. A bigger verter will help the issue some, or cam that has some advance ground into it.. Problem with a big verter is just like you said, you need to be in it to make it go.. I am running a 3200 yank, when I am light footing it, my 1-3rd is hardly no rpm drop LOl stays the same..
