Default Motor/tranny is in...... Problem...

Ok. I got it all in and now have a slight problem. When I reconnect my ground to the battery the god dam starter cranks?!?!? I hooked the harness back up the way it all came off. Anybody know what might have caused this?? Cause right now im lost.

Maybe the starter solenoid or starter relay is shorted? Might have gotten some coolant in the connections during the swap?

Yeah I think it is outrageous what they charge for a starter, for about any vehicle. I just recently put a new starter on my exgirlfriend's Dodge Intrepid and she paid like $170-$180 for it.

sound to me like you dont have the wire on the right terminal of the starter, switch the connection and you should be set.

Damn, thats freaking expensive. The OBS truck starters were only like 30 after you brought back the core and thats with a lifetime warranty. I had no idea they were that expensive.

make sure the soleniod hot wire isn't touching the hot wire to the starter.... they're fairly close and if not oriented right they'll touch causing continous cranking.
