Converters build lots of heat. Larger than factory size stall adds even more heat. Get a big transmission cooler with a fan. Getting a deep transmission pan will reduce some of the heat too. Get a transmission temp. gauge for sure. I'd recommend Transmission Specialties for a converter. They will custom make one to fit your mods.

A tune will make a big difference right now. I'd stay away with the handheld programmers. Get someone that knows what they're doing and you know has lots of good feedback. Roadrunner & HPtuners are what we've tuned everything with.

Tune it already. Taking out the TM should allow you to light them up no prob.
