more HP in mideast trucks

Check out this link to Chevrolet in the Middle East. The truck HP ratings are higher than in the United States.

Here we are ready to bomb their neighbors while they drive around in our high tech horsepower. <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> The extra power could be do to the lack of cats and other <img border="0" alt="[bullshit]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bs.gif" /> emission equip.
Also, the rear drive left drive Holden built vehicles are rebaged as Chevrolets. The Caprice SS and Lumina SS can come with a 325 HP LS-1.
Looks like we are getting short-changed by GM. The only new rear drive vehicles availible this year are the trucks, Corvette, last of the F-bodys, the new GTO (Holden).
I can see GM somehow screwing up the GTO launch later this year. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

What I found more interesting is that all of the motors--6.0L included-- came standard with a 5 speed! Wonder which tranny they're using to handle all that torque?!?!?!

Those are the Gross ratings, not Net.
Gross = engine dynoed without accessories attached (A/C, PS pump, alternator, no exhaust system, etc.)
