I've tried the 93 octane already and it looses hp. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Will an ASP void the warranty? Depends on how freindly your dealership is. If the pulley doesn't cause a problem with any future work they have to do it should be fine but some dealerships like to blame aftermarket parts for problems. I am sticking an ASP on mine later.

Smoke_ur_5.0...hey get someone to try this:

1. stock intake vs UPD w/ stock bottom vs UPD w/ cut open bottom vs K&N FIPK vs Voilant (sp?)
2. ported stock TB
3. Granatelli MAF meter

ASP pullies are good for ~8-11rwhp.

Y2K Silverado...are you going with pullies or a ported throttle body first?

I e-mailed him back and said I want one, do it and let me know when it's done and I would pay, I haven't heard back from him since then. If you know him, give him a nudge for me and tell him to e-mail me about the TB

I was running 87 tuning before I got the GMS maf but the truck runs quicker with no tuning and the GMS maf vs 87 tuning and the maf. Just for the heck of it I popped in the 93 tuning with the GMS maf, the truck runs like a scalded dog with that combo. Also, could do dyno a paper filter vs a K&N drop with your UPD set up or the stock intake? In my truck, it seems to actually lose power especially low end with a high flow filter, I'm running a Purolator paper filter now.
Thanks, Jim

I never use GMS MAFs. Stock tuning was 245rwhp, 93 octane was 242rwhp and 87 octane was 248rwhp.

Money is better spent on MAF translators then GMS MAF's IMO.

Jim, I don't know the guy personally but I've heard he does good work.

Any knock/SES with 93 tuning and the GMS (CAI)MAF?

Smoke 5.0,Hey thanks for all your donated dyno results, you are saving guys a lot of trouble and expense.BTW good numbers at this rate you will be at 300hp in a week.I am the guy that did a 6.0 swap in a 2k 1/2 xcab 4x4,I have the Shandy Price heads which seem to be fine although i wished i had gone for the bigger valves he offered for a reasonable price,I was one that didnt get burned by him. I need to get mine on the dyno which is 3hrs away and $100 for 3 pulls.

Hey Gonzo..I was wondering if that was you. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

No problem..maybe when I get some free time I will port the TB and get a cutout put in. 300rwhp might be a little tough to come by. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Keep these results coming!

Any idea how much extra timing you are getting from the HPP3?

Did you do a cooler t-stat?
