Should be a LB7. The LLY didn't come out till mid 2004.

For the LB7 Duramax the Edge juice w/attitude for $800 is the best plug in box with 60-150rwhp. The attidude allows you to change power levels on the go and also has built in gauges and the ability to do 1/4 mile and 0-60 testing.

The Quadzilla Stealth for $700 has 10 tunes from 50-215 rwhp is the best tuner for the LB7. The Stealth also raises the factory rev limit from 3200 rpm to 4500 rpm in the big HP programs, corrects tire size and gear ratio changes, removes the top speed limiter, and clears/erases codes/SES lights.
Sorry to sound like an ***, but I'm still a little lost You start out by saying the Edge with att. is the best plug in box, and then say the Quadzilla is the best tuner. Are these different? From the looks of your sig., you have BOTH??? Sorry for so many questions, but since the deal I had lined up for an SS fell thru I've really been considering a Duramax...that and ever rising gas prices. If you had to get one PCM upgrade, I guess you would recommend the Edge? And then maybe stack with the Quadzilla??? What trans. upgrades do you have/or recommend? Thanks in advance.

The Edge is a power box only and with the attitude monitor it also can display 0-60 and 1/4 time as well as a few other engine functions. It does not have the capability to change tires size or any of the other tuning functions that the Quadzilla setup does.

I'll tell ya that just with a Edge box the Duramax really wakes up and is a pleasure to drive. With a built tranny and stacked boxes I bet it's a real blast.

And then some. The Juice is a harness box that plugs into the CAN-BUS connectors underhood. It modifies the data streams to enhance performance.

The Quad is a tuner that you use to load a tune onto the PCM.

Stacking is using them both in conjunction and can yield some great power gains. Tomac and I run the same combos, except he now has the larger turbo.
