Default mods for 4.8l

I currently have an anemic 4.3l v-6 in my truck. I'm working on a deal to get a 4.8 and install it in my truck. Eventually i will step up to a stroked 6.0l but being in the military, finding time and more importantly money to do this is hard. I have a good deal on the 4.8 so I'll go with that for now. I will be ordering AS&M headers a good aftermarket exhaust, FIPK, and a Nelson tune. What about cam selections? Is the stock cam alright, or should i step it up a bit? If so what cam? Keep in mind that eveything will eventually be swapped over to the 6.0L. I'm not looking for 400 hp just a good lil' street set up. Thanx!

get a 212/218 high lift with 918 springs and 114 lsa. that should wake it up and show a good increase in performance throughout the entire power band.

I'd get the 206/212 - 112LSA cam for the 4.8 and something alot bigger for the 6.0.
