I holesawed a 3-1/2" hole in the bottom of my airbox and installed a PVC reducing bushing and slipped in a 20" length of 3-1/2" ID flex-haust to bring in cooler air from under the truck. Can't be seen at all from the top and looks stock. I'm also still using the stock air box with a K&N drop in filter. Didn't cost me anything as these parts are readily available to me.

there is more to it. the waffle looking pieces inside the box can be broken off and sanded smooth. and i used a 4" aluminum flex duct for a dryer to draw air in from tow hook hole.

wish i had pics. easier for me cause i am a sheetmetal mechanic at work and fabbed up a box to hook to the hose. its easy to do and it used the bolt for the tow hook to secure it.
