how about ls1 fans instead of 05 efans? LS1 fans are around $125 shipped on ebay... thats where I got mine, and the controller unit from autozone for $25.

On your topic though, id go gears first.

3.42 stink on the 1/8 and 1/4. 3.42 are best for MPG and street racing.

Some 4.10s would greatly improve your times in the 1/8.
