Default Misc. Questions

I just wanted some input on what kind of electric fans you guys are running. I'm looking into putting some on my 2000 Sierra with a 5.3. They need to be really reliable, I spend a lot of time in the desert and run it pretty hard when I'm out there. Also would 4.56 gears be much when running 35" tires? Also how much does a cam swap usually run and what is a good shop in Texas for that?

You can find electric fans out of an ls1 camaro/trans am, Nelson Performance sells the harness you'll need for the hookups. I'd think 4.56's would be an overkill, maybe 4.10's instead? And for the cam swap, I can't help you there. Good luck on everything!

I have LS1 fans on my truck and love them. And 4.56's with 35's will get you to right around 3.73's with a 31" tire. Thats what I ran on my last truck with 35's I think they were the perfect gears for the 35's. I run 32's during hunting season, and have 3.73's I wish I had 4.10's. I run 285/60's during the summer wich are about 29" And still wish I had a little more gear. 3.90 or so, but if I change (since I have to do front also) Ill just go with the 4.10's
