Microcontrollers?

Has anyone installed and/or programmed a microcontroller for use on their trucks? I am thinking of using one of these for pulse width modulation during an electric fan set up.

Dont have one on the truck but I played with some while I was in school. I think it wouldn't be a bad idea. Why dont you go ahead and be a pioneer and set one up then the rest can follow your lead.

I wanted to have variable fan speed on my truck, as well as an LCD that displays the true temperature to me either under the hood or somewhere in the cab.
F8L,
a microcontroller is a mini computer with one dedicated task. many of your home appliances have them, a digital thermostat for example. their uses are great.
It'd be cool to 'pioneer' it, but i don't think everyone has access to assembly code, and a uC burner.
