I need to borrow someones metripack crimper, i dont want to have to buy my own for 8 freakin clips, i'll pay shipping and rental let me know

By the time you pay for shipping both ways and a few bucks rent, you could have just bought the $30 tool and keep it in you box.

I used needle nose pliers to fold the clip ears over on top of the wire then soldered it. I didn't even know what the crimper was until recently.

I have done the plier method before, do yourself a favor and get the crimpers. They do it perfect. I would just buy it if I were you, as mentioned above after shipping and everything else you would be better off.
