Default Mega install underway

I built and installed the new tranny last week and after putting a couple hundred miles on it to make sure it worked (and it did !) I decided to take the truck out of service again to do the Mega install.

I bought an assembled Mega squirt off Ebay a couple months ago but didn't want to tear into it while the tranny was down. So.....now that the trans is in I decided to begin the install of the Mega. I have it about finished so hopefully soon I will have it up and running with a decent tune. I am anxious to get on the track !!

Keep good notes. I'm curious as to how difficult the programing and tuning will be.

Me too.
BTW, is this the new V3.0 that can control timing and spark without installing the Furd EDIS stuff? I was looking very closely at it, might be something to consider on my Dodge.

L-Eater, Do you have any pics of your intercooler? I have the kenne bell which is similar and i am tired of waiting for them to come out with one. I have numerous ideas for one but i would love to see some pics if you have any. Thanks

Update: It is up and running. I have been really busy with other things so I haven't had a lot of time to be on here. Thanks to a lot of assistance from Scott (Dieselgeek) I was able to get it up and running in short order once I got the installation finished.

So far it seems that tuning is far easier than with Edit. I have spent a couple hrs driving around tuning so far and I would say it is already a better tune than I had been running on. Tonight I am going to let the wife drive it while I sit on the pass side and do some fine tuning.

I will get back on here later and post up a short overview of what I had to do to hook it up.

KTM-no its version 2.2

03sierra-check your PM

02sierra-I went with an aftermarket unit for a few reasons but the main one was I was maxing out the MAF and this was the easiest/best option I could see to get rid of that prob.
