Measurments of LS1
#1
Can anyone give me measurements, if they know off the top of there head, of the LS1. Considering that I work on BMW's every day, it would be easy for me to get an old 3 series and I was thinking about putting a LS1, 5.7 in one. Should make for a screamer, just need to know how much room I have to play with. I could go measure my motor, but if anyone knows or has a motor out, could ya let me know???? Thanks

Umm, very nice. I want to do the same but in a E30, the earlier 3 series. Only because they are DIRT cheap and parts are even cheaper. I think a 5.7LS1 would be awesome in that car, super light weight, with alot of power!!!! ooooooh the wheels are a turnin!!!

i'll go to the shop and measure my 6.0 tomorrow MUD, and let you know. i've been thinking about doing a conversion in my 86 cavalier 4 door too...it's a 2400# car, without my big ***....has tons of room for tubs and a nice cage...and a forged 4.8 heads cam nitrous motor would be awesome in something like that with a 6 speed.
