me being a smartass!

Ok so after driving the truck more than a few hours today after the new exhaust install I came up to a conclusion.
I have a feeling the open bed is acting as a huge exhaust speaker and amplifying the sound of the exhaust
Not sure if im the only one who noticed this, or if my exhaust set-up has something to do with it but heres my proposed solution in stages:
1- will apply a spray on rough bedliner, the roughness in the bedliner should act as a diffuser and break the sound into smaller sound waves (I guess)
2- install a bedcover
Im trying to figure out if this makes any sense and if you guys have any suggestions perhaps? Im trying not to add weight while doing so, the weight of the bedcover is already accounted for.

I have a spray in bedliner, a tonneau cover, and a carpeted Leer canopy. I've driven my truck in every configuration, including an empty bed with no cover. It is equally loud in all of those configurations.
It did get MUCH louder though when I removed the back seat. Maybe installing a ****-ton of Dyna-Mat or something similar would help?
