What brand of converter? Was it spaced properly?

The sound is similar to that of a thudding sound, not something I would expect to hear when a valve spring breaks.

Could be trans internals to.

Really seems like you have something rattling perhaps not secured after doing the converter swap?
I mentioned this as well
Something loose hitting the cab
of F bodies this is common to see headers hitting the floor, especially with more worn out motor mounts
something to that effect was my first guess

Filter cutter just arrived... I'll post the findings.

Oil pressure has not changed 60psi cold 50psi idle and rises with RPM

I've looked everywhere for something rattling. The rattling sound keeps getting louder and louder. Killing the engine and coasting 60mph zero rattle noise.

I've inspected the flexplate through the inspection hole best I could and can find no cracks.

I've been looking for contact... I'll keep searching.

Circle-D triple billet 3600 stall.

I spent a lot of time getting the spacing correct using the thinner of the two spacers from Circle-D

The filter looks pretty clean. I can see an occasional shiny speck I thought was aluminum but dragging a magnate through each pleat the magnate picked up the specks. My guess it's normal camshaft & lifter wear. I'm running dual .660 springs with a fairly aggressive .629" .615" lobe.

I don’t think that’s enough to warrant concern

I played the videos on my stereo system and it sounds like a water pump or fan clutch in my living room.

Have you pulled the trans dipstick to inspect the fluid?

I would suspect the new convertor has an issue of some sort.

Triple disk converters can make noise if the trans pump can't keep up. That's why we use a modified boost increase valve in allisons when a tripple disk is used.

this has to be converter related, it's the only thing that changed in the setup, right? the truck has been maintained and was running perfect before the swap?
