Default Mass Air?

The honeycomb in the mass air, Should it stay or should it go?. Is it gonna help more then it will hurt in the long run after the MAF sensor gets dirty?...A friend of mine has had his out for a while and he said he sparays a lil MAF cleaner ever once in a while and has had no trouble....

i took mine out and i havn't had any problems out of it. i actually could tell a small diff. the newer trucks don't even come with that anymore. i clean mine everytime i change my oil and thats bout it. i found out about in a haynes book while bein bored at work. lol autozone.....

The screen smooths out the flow for accurate air mass determination.
Best case scenario you gain 2-3 hp. Worst case, you run lean. The screened end of the tube is wider to compensate for the screen resistance.

If you pull it out, I would retune for speed density.....not mass air

The new trucks do come with 'em and its on there for a reason....
