My A4 is just starting to slip alittle, so I will be taking it easy on it until I can afford a rebuild. I was wondering, how feasible is the t56 swap? Would I run into computer issues? What if I swapped a LS-1 in and used an f-body computer? I searched the archives, but couldn't find any answers.

thanks,
Kyle

4.8bearkat, i have actually thought about doing that before. i still want to put in a hardcore t-56 setup with mcleod clutch and all the goodies. i will have LS1EDIT when i start the install of my new motor. i am about a month away from that, and i still can't decide if i want to go with an FLP level 4 tranny with a 3600 stall, or a bad *** t-56 with a good clutch. but with the t-56 i think i'll be breaking a lot more rearends than i will with the A4. just some food for thought. the t-56 is bad *** if you already have a 5 speed in your truck, otherwise it will probably be a bitch to do. i am still throwing it around though.
