Make sure you remember to "beef" up the rest of the drivetrain as well. Your rear and tranny aren't going to like 13's too much. Get an eaton posi and when your tranny blows up ( it going to blow up running 13's eventually) get it built with uprgraded (stronger) components. This stuff is expensive, but it's the price we pay for the fun we have with our trucks.

Go ahead suck it up and do the turbo or supercharger, you won't regret it. I've put that much into bolt ons and the dyno hurt my feelings last night. My 02 4.8 put out 255hp and 277tq.

LS1 heads (ported and polished), 224/224 114lsa cam, radix 10#, 4:10's= 450rwhp.
add a built trans, 3000 stall convertor, et streets and you got a low 12 second 4.8

Is the 224/224 114lsa still a descent daily driver or does it start hitting the borderline of reliability

If you go turbo, drop a 3000+stall in that thing right AFTER you grenade the tranny and get the upgrade.

13's shouldnt be too hard even with a 4.8L. I was able to cut a high 13 on a COMPLETELY stock motor with a few home made bolt-ons and a small (70HP Dry) shot of nitrous.

How much money are you working with?
