I was told that the key to quiet was separating the single 3" into two 2.25" outs. I guess the 2.25" tailpipes give more than enough flow (for my little F/I 5.3 anyway, don't know about a bigger motor) and really kill the noise. I remember being frustrated because everyone was telling me how great the 'sound' was on their muffler/system, all the while I'm thinking, 'you don't understand, to me the only good sound is no sound...'

It would have been interesting to see if two singles before that huge 12594 of yours would have helped, maybe something like this round one:

i have one 12249 on my truck and it's pretty loud if i add another will it be alot quieter, hate the noise i think i have the room for it 05 crewcab
