Default Magnaflow vs Flowmaster 50?

I have to change up my exhaust a little bit since I replaced the Ypipe. I have Pacesetter LT's on my LQ4 swapped Yukon. When I did the LQ4 swap the pacesetter Y would not come apart (replaced crush clamps with 3" Torca Torctite Stainless Steel Lap Joint Exhaust Clamps absolutely superior product by the way). When I put the new Pipe on it moved the catback mount further back, and now my custom catback exhaust is knocking on the rear subframe.

I figured why not try a different muffler since I have to cut/reweld anyway. I'm currently using a Magnaflow XL Stainless 3 inch in and 3inch out (Big bastard) 25 x 9.5 x 4.5 inches, looking to swap it out for a Flowmaster Super50 or Super70. It's definitely loud, but it doesn't bother me. I'm wondering how the magnaflow compares to a Super 50/super 70 if anyone else has ever made the switch?

Also, does anyone know if the flowmaster exhausts are slipfit connectors (3inch ID) where I can use band clamps to install it?

I think magnaflows are a much better built product. Flowmaster a have a great unique exterior sound, but are known for the horrible cab drone.

I have had a super 40, 44, and magnaflow 22". The magnaflow is my favorite hands down especially for interior cab noise.

You might think about ordering a cut out from summit $40 I love mine. When I want it loud open the cut outs up, when I get sick of it I put the covers back on and it is quiet.

Only thing louder than a cut out is open headers.

Interesting. Maybe I'll just stick with cutting and re-welding the pipe. I kinda like the hollow Flowmaster sound, and I always thought the construction on their products looked superior. But maybe I'll just stick with what I've got.

Both of my flowmasters started rusting after 6 months and my magnaflow is rust free after almost a year, I just think the are better b/c of the stainless steel and laser cut flanges.

Don't get me wrong I think the flows do sound good, I just can't sand the drone mine made, but If you can live with it get it!

I have also run many flow masters and magnaflows on 67-69 camaros and the magnflow sounds better to me, more bassy rumble and not as pipe ringy sounding as the flows

Bassani sound amazing and will be my next muffler.

Spintechs, corsa, and borla sound good to
