I just installed a Magnaflow 22' catback this afternoon, it does drone a little around 2000 rpm's but not to bad. I can feel a performance gain and the fit and finsh is second to none.

I have a 14" Magnaflow exiting in front of the rear tire on a rc. I love it. Its meat at WOT, but on the interstate, I can't hear it, unless I turn the radio wayyyyyy down and try to hear it. I've always had Flowmasters but Don't think I'll ever go back. They sound great, but thats it. I like the sound of my Magnaflow better!! Just my .02 Oh I could always feel no gain or even a little loss at the bottom with the Flowmasters. Then they started to pull mid to upper rpms. The Magnaflow seems to have gaing from the bottom all the way up.

I'm thinkin about buying the pacesetter headers with the y pipe and was wondering what would sound beter a single 3" in single 3" out or a single 3" in and dual 3" out magnaflow?

Thanks

3" in and 3" out would sound better, the exhuast will flow in pulses and not be broken up like a duel exit would.

Magnaflow states on their website that the single 3" in and single 3" out cat back system makes more power than the dual out version. I have the single out system and even though they say it is stainless steal it is starting to rust.

Ok, next question

Which is better, catback or just the muffler? I think that the catback is about 400 more than the muffler. I had talked with a shop a while back about an exhaust system and they told me it would run about 250 or so for muffler and pipes out the back. I dont know what all was included as it was just done on the phone.

Any suggestions?

Well I paid $80 for the stainless muffler, and $80 for 3" tubing from the collector to the tailpipe, and I chose how I wanted it done. I think the extra $300 is too much. At least for me.
