Default Magnaflow Spun Cat

Just installed Pacesetter LTs, 2.5 inch dual exhaust, x pipe, and spintech sportsman street mufflers. Now its way too loud, resonates like an airplane, and rasps 1500 to 2500 rpm. So im thinking about putting some aftermarket cats back on it. Had a spintech with the stock cats/manifolds and it sounded good.

Anyways was looking at the magnaflow "spun-cat". They are small enough to fit. But I can't find anywhere that says whether they are stainless or aluminized steel. I was hoping to just cut out some pipe and weld them in place, but im thinking that won't work if they are stainless.

Anyone have any experience with them?

They are stainless. We used to use them all the time, they will weld to the aluminized exhaust with no problems.

No problems, they just didn't make much of a difference. I would only use them again if I ever had a car that needed to pass a visual inspection, but we don't have inspections here in Michigan.

If I were to run cats again, they would be my choice of cats.

Haha. Should have kept the cats. So many people make this mistake. Don't feel too bad.

I used them on my setup and have no issues. I used the 3.5" in/out CAT so a reducer had to be welded in.

I think I still have a set of these cats used if you are interested. I think they have less than 10k miles on them. I will have to check at work monday. $110.00 shipped. I will get pics for you if I still have them and you want them. Email zeake13@yahoo.com
here is a pic of one of them.
