Default magnaflow muffler help

i was looking into either the 5x8 or 4x9, 3in. IN/OUT, offset/center or center/center........ what is the difference ??? just size and the position of pipes, or does it make a difference on the tone of the exhaust ??? if anyone knows or has some input, thanks....

doesnt change tone of the exhaust just changes placement.

whats the difference in what? Offset/center and center/center??

i know wut the difference is as far as placement, but i want to know if the different sizes and placements change the tone of the exhaust.

from my experience, placement does make a difference in tone. The further back the muffler the more raspy it gets. The more tail pipe after the muffler the raspier it gets. I had my Borla XR-1 installed about 6" past the Y-pipe output. sounded like a different muffler after that.

center-center means inlet/outlet are both in the center of the muffler end cap
offset/center means one end is to the side of the end cap, one end at the center
offest/offset means both inlet and outlet are to the side of the endcap
5x9 is the thickness of the case and width of the case
14,18,20 22 etc will be the lenght of the case
