Default Magnaflow is awesome.

Just got my magnaflow catback on last night Part#15617 which is the side exit with the 5x8x18. I drove it around after I got it on for about an hour and I think it is the best exhaust I've had on it to date. I have had a flowmaster, magnaflow 5x11x22,and true duels with bullets. I put a new Y pipe on and the catback bolted right up with no problems. It has a little drone going up hills or pulling something but nothing unbearable. Just driving it you can't hardly hear it but when you get in it is when it sounds real good.

Do you have any sort of drone around 1800-2000rpm under just mild throttle? That is the only thing I don't like about my side-exit #15778 system. Other than that, it sounds awesome under throttle and cruising above or below that rpm range I mentioned previously.

It has a little drone at part throttle but not enough to bother me if cruising you can't even hear it. I love it.

I too have the Magnaflow and it seems everywhere I go I get compliments on how good it sounds. Cruising on the highway its not so loud you cant hear inside the cab, but when you get in it it sounds great.

How much did you pay for it? Can you get the muffler and custom pipes done cheaper at a muffler shop? Or can I buy a magnaflow muffler and swap out the stock one?

I got mine off ebay and paid $226 plus shipping. I would recommend getting the catback it is a better looking install in the end. I had just a magnaflow muffler before but you can't beat the catback.

I looked on e-bay and the lowest price I found was $437.00 !
If anyone can point me in the direction of a better price I would greatly apreciate it.
Thanks

I got a Stainless Steel Cat-back for my 99 Yukon for $460 Installed. Seeing how a custom job charged $410 for custom pipes with the SS muffler. I would recommend you search the magnaflow website for a Preferred dealer. Thats how I found mine and am very satisfied.
