magnaflow

Thinking of going with a magnaflow muffler on my truck 3 inch in and out. I would like to find out what part # everyone have on their truck and what it sounds like would like it to not hear much of it inside but have a good overall sound outside.

I have the 3" Magnaflow s/s exhaust on my truck & I love it. The exhaust is fairly quiet except when you get on it or when the rpm is about 1800. The drone is not unbearable but it does take some getting use to. I have read that if you want it quieter that you should buy a longer muffler than the standard one.

I had a 3" tailpipe on my truck with the Magnaflow I'm using and it was a little to loud in the truck, outside I could barely hear it idling though. I just put 2-2.25" tailpipes on and it's MUCH better, no big tips out the back. I have the tailpipes turned down, they look like the tailpipes on the Crown Vic cop cars. It also gave the truck a little more low end with the smaller pipes.

just my two cents,,,,i hope i can save you some money here,,,i had the long long through magna flow,,,it sounded and performed very nice,,but i got antsy and change to a flowmaster,,it sucked,,then went with a magnaflow race bullet muffler for 50 bucks,,and its the best of the three by far,,not too loud,,not much drone at all and a minimum of 30 bucks cheaper then the full size magnaflow

check into it,,,,seriously,,most think,,man thats a glass pack,,but just think,,the full size magnaflow is basically a glass pack inner and muffler outer,,
wish you luck
