ok since i didn't get any replys on the other other post. what magnaflows are you running? what about the XL ones, are they better than flowmasters?

 

i just got my magnaflow in saturday, will have it put on tomorrow, it's the 3" di/do 12599

well are your mufflers just the generig magnaflows or the XL series?

 

i just put a xl series on my wifes excab and she is very happy with it...sounds damn good going down the hiway and not near as loud as my magnaflow aft cat system on the av...

 

do the Xl's flow just as good?

 

yep...it's a flow thru series as well...it's round not oval shaped...

thinking of taking my aft cat system off and true dualing the av all the way back w/ 2 1/2 or 3"....with the xl 's

 

I'm not trying to sound rude, but the XL series doesn't flow as well and isn't a straight through design like their base mufflers. It is actually a 3 chambered design which is pretty restrictive. I purchased a base Magnaflow muffler and was sent the XL series by accident and after I found out it was chambered, I sent it back.

 

ok well i ant to replace my flowmaster with a magnagflow i found one about the same thing as my flowmaster but i can't figure out if the dist between the outlets is the same i need sinle 3in in, dual 2.5 out

 

I don't think they're the exact same size, I guess you're trying to keep your tailpipe and tips in the same spot? You may have to cut or add a little bit of pipe but any welder can do that easily.
