Default Magnacharger install prices/warranty in Seattle area

These guys are smoking crack! I called up McCann cadillac, hummer, saab, whatever in Fife. They will offer a full drivetrain warranty on a Radix install if I buy it from their parts guys for $5800 (unpolished!) plus $200 shipping. They quoted me $10500 for the total install with 15 hours (15????!!!!) labor. Hell yes I would expect a full drivetrain warranty from them considering I'm basically buying a NEW tranny with that quoted price! They did say they would install a Radix "carried in" with prior approval from the service manager... for about $2500! That would not include any drivetrain warranty by the dealership, of course.

Anyway, another area dealer, Doug's in Lynnwood, said they would give a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on the drivetrain if I bought the supercharger from them and had them install it, too. They are only asking $5,500 for the (unpolished!!!) supercharger and $750 for the install. Basically they came out to $6850 for the whole deal. Or I could bring my own in and have them install it for $750. Clearly, Doug's is the bargain in this area!

I didn't bother to check with Bellevue hummer...

I'm leaning hard toward doing a self install and damn the drivetrain warranty. These prices are crazy!

I've got a good quote on the H2 kit from Todd at ProDyno. I'll be calling him tomorrow.

To say the least, a fool and his money are easily parted in this neck of the woods!

Service for ANYTHING in our area is freaking rediculous cory. Half the reason is that people in this area as a whole have NO idea how easy some of this stuff is to do with just a bit of time. Have you checked with Speedware? I know that they tend to be a bit spendy but if you just have them do the install it should be pretty quick. Give them a call anyways.

To many people out here can afford ferraris and maseratis so most places tend to set thier prices to those kinds of incomes.
