Default MAF senser

Is buying the aftermarket MAf worth the money or should i just take the screen out of the stock one. Also i see two different ones for sale, one the for stock intake one and one for aftermarket intakes. Does it really make a defference which one i buy if i buy one at all? Should a tune be neccassary if i get a aftermarket one or if i take out the screen from the stock one ????

No and No....I imagine you're talking about the Granatelli MAF, I think the only thing it does it trick the PCM into making the air/fuel mixture richer, you would be better off spending your money on a good tune. Don't descreen the MAF either, the screen straightens out the airflow over the wires. If you descreen it you will probably throw off the readings and it might not run as well.

I really wouldn't suggest buying one of those. They won't providea hardly any gain at all. Just my $.02.
