My MAF tables are stock so I'm pretty sure I'm actually seeing correct g/s
I'm running a 210º/218º .531/.531 114lsa Vinci Cam with 26º total timing and stock 14.7:1 AFR...... |
stock should be alot richer than that at wide open.

I've read a few times that on these trucks if you multiply MAF grams/sec X 1.1 it gets you a pretty close RWHP number.....can anyone back that up ??? mroegrip: If that above calc works out that would put me at around 360ish and you around 440hp at the tires ....do you have a dyno run to compare that too ??? damn...I may finally have to admit that you *might* be faster than me grip you have to compensate for how much the blower takes back out of that. |

At part throttle 14.68-14.7 is fine but, at wide open throttle 12.5-13:1 is about all you want to go for NA.
My stock LQ9 6.0L has pulled down 38lb/min in stock form. :eek2: That was a high reading. It routinely will hit 36-37lbs/min though and that is around 5400rpm is I remember correctly For NA engines I think multiplying the maf lbs/min by 10.5 will give you a close estimate to engine output at the flywheel. It's been a while since I've messed with all that though but, that is what I remember being close. |
short of buying a wideband how can I get the AFR at WOT where I want it to be ???
If I use those calculations it looks to be around 430 at the crank and 340ish at the tires....pretty close to the other calculation |
Those calculations can't be very accurate. On a nice staedy line on the MAF at 6300rpm I logged 327.79 G/Sec = 360.56 Rwhp
43.26 Lb/min = 454.23 Fwhp For a peak I found 341.14 G/sec = 375.25 rwhp 45.02 Lb/min = 472.71 Fwhp The only things I have changed from my dyno pull of 333 rwhp are UD pulley and a different air intake. Oh and my intake air temps were about 40* cooler. |
There's no way it's gonna be 100% accurate.....but at least it's a good way to guesstimate
