Lightbulb It's yo' trans. mount...

You have a torn transmission mount. I've used to have mine tear on my '93 Z28 when I would rev it high and drop it in to Drive 1 too many times

It cost me $100 even from a mechanic friend.

That's really slow for your mods. You should be in the 15.25 range with those mods. I think you need to really heat them tires up on your burn out. Your 60 ft is really slow. I ran my buddies 02 ext cab chevy bone stock and ran a 15.6 without any mods. I was lunching from 1500 rpms and shifting at 5500 rpms manually. My bone stock 2 door 98 tahoe ran 16.13 stock and 15.82 with cold air intake and tb spacer.

Yeah, my times were kinda slow too, so I'm thinking they just had some problems with their timer. I was also getting crappy traction all night, so that might be a factor. Everyone was running slower than they should have been. Oh, and it was a 175 lb passenger jow, maybe a little more after turkey day.

hey Jow...yea, check that tranny mount. Sounds dead. You should haev no prob gettin 2.3 or better 60 fts. Dont just smash the happy pedal. Walk off the line a bit. 1/4, 1/2, wot. Try it out You can do that for the 1st 20 feet or so and youll be all good. Your line pressure and shift points may be (stock) on your diablo...but if you installed their performance tune, it already has those increased. Its set at zero on the display so you can adjust it up or down to your pleasure. The only way its truly stock is to remove the programming. Try turning it down a bit.

thanks guys. i check my program yesterday. when i changed my plugs i didnt completly reprogram the truck it was pretty much stock except for the trans shift points and pressure. i hope i can get my 60' down to 2.3 i should beable to since iam getting traction.

Todd do you get pretty good traction with the nittos you are selling my. my crappy GTII's are doing pretty good. i did a pretty good burnout every time. i would brake it for about 20sec. the dump the brakes and stomp it spin all the way through the line. only on my second run did they spin just allittle. Nightmare was having hell getting traction. i think next time we go if i still have my 18" we are going to put them on nightmare to see if he can hoock up and shave allittle off of his 60'. ol red feals a little slow off the line but when she gets in to second gear she picks up the same as nightmare. but off the line he leaves me setting still. Nightmare is coming down during thanks giving we will probably line up against each other on a strip of highway and see if i can do any better against him. or blow the hell out of the tranny. all i can say is thank god for warranty.

I run 2.0 60 fts all day on my 22" street tires. Its all about control and practice. Especially when you have over 400ftlbs of torque on tap at 3000rpms. I religiously practice the 1/4, 1/2, wot technique and have it pretty much down.

by the way.... basic rule of thumb for 60 ft times. For every 1/10th you shave off your 60 ft, you can take 1.5/10ths off the top end. Example:

16.0 with a 2.6 60 ft =
15.55 if you can pull a 2.3 60 ft =
15.10 if you can pull a 2.0 60 ft.
