Default AS&M Headers

I installed my ASM Headders yesterday, got my y-pipe welded up, and installed all new gaskets. First off i am very pleased with the perfromance gains, but I am noticing a small exhaust tick from up front. I retightend all of the header bolts, and no change. It shouldnt be the gaskets since there new, does anyone have any sugestions, they appear to be slightly warped! Has anyone had any similar problems or noises, any help would be greatly appreciated.

i had a very loud ticking noise from the engine bay after i installed mine. i retorqued them 2 times, and they were still leaking. after getting the welding done and pulling in the garage i noticed that one of the bolts came out alot. i retorqued them for a 3rd time and havennt had the problem yet.

if i were you, i would get retorque them all once again. let the truck heat up, and then cool down a bit first. torque them to 24-25 ft/lbs and give her a run again.

i have read that loose spark plugs can possibly make a ticking noise as well. if you pulled your spark plugs during the install, its possible that you accidently didnt put on back in right. you could check those again too.

note-there is supposed to be a very slight piff noise due to the velocity of the exhaust gasses hitting the collectors. it may be that you are noticing. ?

I have the same condition. I have retorqued mine several times to 24 ft/lbs. And at last check, they held torque. I origianally thought it may be a leak from the header gasket. But, had the wife rev it with hood up and couldn't hear it from the outside of the cab. It is really noticable when rpms are under 2000 and under load.

Any suggestions would also be appreciated.
