Default as&m + bullets + duals = RASP!

got my exhaust done today. sounds like ****!

as&m headers
no cats (reason for rasp)
true 3" duals with dynomax bullet mufflers, exiting one out each side behind the rear wheels.

Will an x pipe or h pipe get rid of this awful raspy sound?
installing cats or different mufflers is not an option...

Problem is the muffler choice not the lack of cats or h or x ... its your mufflers ... just not suited for your application.

With no cats it will almost always sound a lil raspy. LS1 cars do the same exact thing. IMO my truck doesnt sound too bad with the Magnaflow muffler on it. I dont know the model but we went with a bigger one with more packing to reduce rasp. It sounded pretty good till I developed a huge exhaust leak at the collectors before the cats. The damn gasket for the AS&M headers is not sealing well. May have to go with copper gaskets.

Just switched from slowmaster over to Magnaflow and love it. You can see right through the Magnaflow... when I took my Flowmaster off with 28,000 miles on it, crap was already falling out of it!
