lt's and low end loss

When the O2s are slow to respond most of the time there on there way out
the front O2s are the main 2 that do most of the work all the back 2 do is check the fronts and monitor post cat like a critic sensor..

There's your problem. Any time I touch a high mileage truck I log everything to make sure it works before I start doing any kind of tuning. You can also mess up your O2's during the header install if you don't protect them while they're out of the exhaust. I saw this same situation a few weeks back while tuning a 02 ECSB with new LT's. His bank 2 front O2 was bad causing him to go crazy rich and mess up all the fueling. 110k miles on the clock, bought 2 brand new ones and we were on our way.

I'm guessing you guys are right. I'm thinking it had nothing to do with the no muffler situation. It was only showing bank 2 being the one popping up codes. Had high voltage and no activity. I decided before putting mufflers on, I'd switch the o2 sensors around seeing as bank 1 wasn't coming up with a code. After switching them around, I have a code on bank 1. Must be my problem right?
Also, I've read in places that the corvette rear o2's work better for the front in our trucks after header installs. If I can use a rear o2 from a corvette on my front, can't I use one of the rear o2's that I don't use anymore? Are they the same except for the plugs? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for the help. Tim.

If it has the same plug it works just fine. That's what we did for the 02 5.3. Once we swapped it everything was good.
Also, disconnect your battery to reset the PCM. I believe this will reset your fuel trims so you can start from scratch when the computer re-learns for the headers.

The rear o2's dont have the same plug, but I was going to splice the old plug into it. I just wasn't sure if the guts of the rear o2's on a silverado were the same as the front.

I've gotta do something with this thing. I was going out to dinner with my girlfriend and on the way, a grand prix got up next to me wanting to play. Unfortunately, I was blown away by it because of this problem. My girlfriend was even picking on me about the power being gone. Horrible night needless to say.

I wouldn't splice the connection at all. Just fork out the money for brand new sensors or find some that are used that have the right connection. A bad splice can bring a drop in voltage, which will in turn cause bad readings and produce the same problem you had before.

Although I don't think that's the problem, no o2 sensor codes before the install of the headers. But if I could check the voltage, that would be reassuring to me.
