Default LT pacesetter Guys w/ cats

How many here has kept there OE cats when you did pace setters? How did the pipe line up? How did you flange it? How much space is there between the header to cat? They(pacesetters) dont make a Off-road Y pipe for 6.0s do they?

I installed the headers, extended the ORY to go past the tranny x-member for easy removal. welded the cats inline with the tubing before the ORY went into the Y. the cats are about 18 inches back from the collectors. welded the bank 2 sensors in right behind the cats for OBD2 compatibility. I didn't use any flanges at all other than the 2 bolt flange on the back of the pacesetter ORY to bolt up my muffler. i welded the ORY together so I wouldn't have to jack with clamps. on the ORY. I used two bolt stainless band clamps on the collector/ory fitting. Right now I just have the headers/ory for my exhaust, i took the flowmaster off for a while. I think the ORY for the 1500's will work with any motor 2wd or 4wd. I got all my stuff from byunspeed.com

As far as I can remember, I don't recall anyone with Pacesetter's keeping their cats, but then again, SOMEONE has to have done it...

YOU ARE 2WD!!!!! Gonzo the only option is to put the cats over where the factoryl y-pipe on a 5.3 would come together or put the cats damn near in fron tof the muffler. With the t-case and extra dirveshaft we arent left with many options. Here are some pics of my y setup and you can see where there would be room for cats.

In the first pic you can see the mandrel 90* bend, only way to put a cat there is to have one hell of a crimp in your exhaust. Then in the second you can see where the pipe goes over the trans crossmember thats where you would have to put them I think.

In order to get the cutouts in there I had to cut the excess length off them to fit so I dont think cats would fit right off the collector and still flow well.

The headers were to long so you had to move the cats backwards and you have the pipe welded up at the collector so if the trans has to come out you will have to cut the pipe.Am I reading this right? When you say bank 2 ,did you mean sensor 2 ? post cats

Maybe if the cats were clocked an additional 90*s the t-case is pretty wide right where the cats are but it is a possibility.
