Default LSX intake

Anyone gonna try this beast on a truck motor? Just curious, as there is more than just a simple swap involved to do it?

Out of curiosity, what injectors would I have to get for our 6.0L to make this manifold work and the PCM to be happy? F-body or Vette fuel rails are needed as well, correct?

the LSX manifold from what i've heard isn't that great for a stock cubed LS1 motor, seems like they are better for the larger cubic inch motors. i think since i'm going to go with corvette accessories for my big motor i might just give one of those a try. i'm gonna put a holley ls6 on it first just cuz i can get it CHEAP, and maybe go to an LSX later due to the direct port capabilities of it. it's not a direct swap either but the PCM should be happy either way with it or a truck manifold. you would have to run LS1 style injectors as opposed to our taller style ones i believe.

Actually from some of the dyno graphs posted up so far....it doesn't seem to be doing jack ****.....at least not for the money.

The numers I've seen, have shown about 13 HP increase over a LS6 intake on a stock cubed car with stock heads. Gains over the LS1 intake on a stock cubed car showed more like 25 hp.

Well I wouldn't rush out and sell the farm just yet

Anyone wanna place any bets that the LS2 intake either matches or beats it?

I think you will continue to see disappointments with the larger cubed motors. The entire intake path seems to be a big henderance for the power being developed by some of these engine builders. I am more interested in seeing if somebody is going to try this on a truck motor that is basically stock(stock internally at least).

I am sure the new LS2 intake is going to beat it, but you have figure in the fact that GM is now putting a 90mm TB in front of it and I would imagine that means the intake tract ahead of that is 90mm as well.

I'd be willing to bet that the LS2 manifold is not compatable with the gen III engines

Just about everything said about the LS2 is speculation. Time is the only thing thats going to answer the LS2 question.
