i know this topic has been beat to death, and i've been using the search function here for the better part of 3 hours.

I just want a list of part #'s needed to swap the LS9 blower cam into my 4.8.

i know i need the front cover, the cam sensor, and a cam sprocket (1 bolt or 3 bolt?)

anything im missing, other than the part numbers?




note: this is not going in my truck, i have a 87 regal t-type i'm putting a 4.8 in, and i'm going to boost it.

 

you goin to put a blower on it or turbo?

The newer stuff is 1 bolt.. the older stuff is the 3 bolt cams.

LS9 still uses 3 bolt sprocket iirc. What year is the 4.8 out of?

LS9 is the exception to the rule and uses a 3 bolt camshaft. I assume your 4.8 is a 24x. If so, you will need a LS2 Front Cover Kit, Cam Sensor Extension Harness, & a LS2 Timing Set. I keep everything in stock! Call me or e-mail me Tuesday and I'll get you fixed up!
