some guy over at the track had an ls7 installed on a scsb 06(black), and it ran a 13.8, the ls7 was stock dough, he had it done at the dealer, special order or something, he also has a red c6 z06, but i dont know how much was it, i agree with the guys, just build a 6.0!

The upside of having a crate LS7 engine would be a warranty. No engine builder will ever give you a 50,000 mile warranty on a 500hp engine. Plus if you live in California or one of the other 4 states that have adopted California's smog laws, this would be the perfect street legal 500hp engine.
I do admit $12 grand for an engine plus installation, plus a dyno tune is big bucks, but if you can't justify $40,000+ for a 403hp Denali or Escalade, this still makes sense. Especially if your truck is clean and other than the engine, is in pretty good shape, but with that much power, I'd do some trans and rear end work to handle the power.
