You're right, and I'm sorry for going down to that level. We will agree to disagree for the time being.

It lookes like on the LS7 head having a 12° valve angle that the tip of the valve moved further away from the rocker fulcrum. That is way the LS7 rocker is longer on the valve side of the fulcrum. That is way it is trying to run off the valve on the LS1 head. Milling or shiming won't fix this problem!

Personally, I think I'll stick with 1.7's and leave the lift to the cam...seems to be the most straight forward, inexpensive route. Nice thing about this whole project and thread is that questions were answered and there's hard evidence, with pics included. In a few weeks when a newbie asks "hey, anyone tried some LS7 exhaust rockers for an inexpensive upgrade?", we can direct them to this thread.

I feel bad for the guys who dumped cash down.

Why? You shouldn't... We knew better than to take Ebaymotors ads at face value... we could have ordered one rocker and done a test fit, but nooooooooo... Mine will work, just need to get some time to set it up.
