Default ls6 intake swap = zip, zilch, zero

right now i feel like i woulda been better off wiping my butt with the money. i basically ran the exact times.

best time on my before numbers was 8.02@85.xx
best time on my after numbers are 7.99@86.xx

i did the best apples to apples comparison i could. both runs within 1 week on the same track at the same weight nothing else changed. charlie retuned it and left everything the same but just tuned for the injectors. it was hot as crap both nights. i did pick up 1mph so im guna give it the benifit of the doubt and hope it helps more in the 1/4 but i doubt it.

so far my results are:

TRUCK INTAKE = LS6 INTAKE

So you didn't change your shift points higher with the new intake? I would suspect that the intake would only benifit if you took advantage of the higher RPM airflow.

They do look good though!

im already shifting 6900 i dont give a damn about pretty. the truck intake looked fine to me. it does idle better now and my duty cycle went from 97 to 77 so it wasnt a complete waste...the 1mph picked up is keeping me optomistic. if it gains 2mph by the quarter ill be happy trapping 112. i dont think it has it in it though.

2/10 in the 1/8 or in the 1/4. yeah you had more on the table to pick up going from ls1 to ls6. i may have gianed some in the 1/4 but thats not how i did the test im guna keep it and see what kinda mph i get with it this winter. i was trapping 110 last year and havent done any power mods besides this since then. its all been in the traction dept lately.

Just from what i have heard, pure word of mouth, the truck and ls6 show very little difference, but that is just what i have heard. But it does look better

The flow ratings aren't THAT much better over the truck intake. I'm sure you've seen them posted on here before the the ls6 intake wasn't very impressive.
