ls6 intake manifold on a 5.3?
#1
I want to put a ls6 intake manifold on my 5.3 mostly to get a corvette look under the hood. i realize i will have to add a cam and a tune to get it to run right. i know the truck intakes are made more for low-end torque. so has anyone done it. what can i do to not lose so much low end?

THe problem with replacing our truck intakes with the car's is where the coolant goes into the engine. The spout is too tall and hits the car's intake. I think that all you would have to do is cut it down? Can't remember.

I believe the throttle body location will interfere with the accessory belt and idler pulley. To use a car intake manifold in a truck, you would need to use the car water pump, electric fans and relocate the idler pulley.

This is what you need to do. I was being a smart@$$ in my first post. Look for the tbss manifold. You wont have to swap accessories with it
