ls6 cam, for forced induction?
#1
i'll post this here too:
I'm thinking of going with an ls6 cam now, in preperation for the blower purchase down the road. i'll be running 3.73 gears, a 28" tire, and i'm thinking a 2600-3000 stall when all's said and done. am i wasting my time with this cam? i want good streetability, because it's my daily driver. i think this setup may offer that.

i dont think the Z06 cam will work too well for a blower application. it has short exhaust duration, 204 degrees, compared to its 218 degrees on the intake side. which is not what you want w/ forced induction, or nitrous either for that matter. w/ the blower...getting the fuel and air in isnt the problem, getting it out is. thats why most nitrous and forced induction specific cams typically have a lot more duration on the exhaust side (around 10 degrees), and wider LSA's too. my 2 cents.
