Default LS6 cam. Any good?

I was wondering if the LS6 cam would be any good for my truck. Anybody have some info? Help would be appreciated.

I think it would be good if your looking for a smooth idle. I would recco advancing it 4* to bring the power band down to a more friendly area if your stock other than the cam. Which your not as I am reading as I am writing this. There are better cams but thes ls6 cams can be picked up at a reasonable cost. You would also have to change to ls6 springs as well.

So ,in other words. I should go ahead and get an aftermarket cam. I was thinking about around .530 to .550 lift. I'm planning on getting a 3000 stall, nelson, injectors, and a 9 psi pulley. Gonna try to do it all about the same time.

Sorry, didn't see the powerdyne part. I would probably go with aftermarket for your application. I would call comp and tell them what you have and go from there.
