Default LS6 Cam for 6.0L ???

Im currently debating using the LS6 cam for my 6.0L LQ4 swap. Has anyone tried this setup with Forced Induction. There are two cams available a 2001 & 2002. What is the best thing to do? The 2002 has a smaller base circle but higher lift. Do I need longer pushrods. Please help!

I was debating on using this cam myself, I even went as far as to buy a used 2001 version. I wound up putting out the extra cash and getting a .212/.218 .557/.563 Comp cam. Everyone agreed that it was worth the extra money once you are going "that far" with a swap and all. The Comp I bought new only wound up costing about $200-$300 more and it was much more suitable to the goals I had in mind. I wound up selling the motor to DewManshu (on here) and he is in the process of swapping it into his truck now. He is using the .224 cam from his 5.3, and is trying to sell the brand new cam that I had installed into the motor before selling it to him. I'd hit him up and try to score the Comp cam. I think you'll be much happier in the long run. I know a LS6 cam and springs can be scored for around $150-$200, but I would spend the little bit extra while the motor is out rather than have to do it later once it is already in the truck.

^Thanks

Would the .212/.218 .557/.563 Comp cam be good for forced induction? Please advise. Will the heads out flow my KB supercharger at high RPM.

Just so you get an idea what an 02+ ls6 does to lq4 in a sicsb.... My just had this done at Nelson's and he ran a 13.4@101. Keep in mind this with no intake, header, exhaust... etc. No bolt ons whatssoever just lq4, ls6 and a dyno tune by Allen.

I think this is a good cam for F/I. I think BigTex runs a simillar cam with a newly installed Radix...maybe he will chime in. He also ran the LS6 cam in his old Z71 with a Whipple I think, so he would really be able to answer with some "first hand" knowledge.

I will be purchasing a cam this week. looks like its a tossup between the LS6 and comp 212/218. This will be my daily driver. Will I need to change pushrods and springs. Any thoughts?
