Default The LS6 is in.

Well after 3 days and some minor complications the engine is finally in! Woot Woot!!! lol The 4.8 was tired with 190k, so we put new life to the truck with an ls6 i picked up at HPE. I used the heads, intake, cam and headers from the 4.8 we had swapped everything in and bolted everything up it was time to fire it up..... and ZERO oil pressure! That was a PITA!! First we thought it was the oil pump, then possibly the o-ring to the pick-up tube, nothing. So we removed the filter and blew air from the front of the engine to make sure something wasnt clogging up the oil gallies, nothing. I had my cousin blow air the opposite way, sure enough i could feel air around the bottom of the pump around the pick-up tube. Turns out the factory o-ring was crap so we replaced it, bolted everything back up and instant oil pressure! I havent been that happy in a long time, i thought we were going to have to pull the motor and send it back. Anyways it in with 20 miles on it now and Holy crap its a huge difference. Just barely tap the throttle and it chirps the tires, with the 4.8 i had to give some pedal to get going. Need less to say its going to take some getting used to especially from take offs.
